With dozens of high-tech yet user-friendly cameras surfacing in the market, almost every Tom, Dick and Harry have mastered the art of photography. But Mac Funamizu intends to make it simpler with his Camera concept. Shaped like sunglasses, Mac has dared to reshape the gadget used for capturing images. However such a sunglass camera can instigate monkey business in public places. Can you imagine some one walking down the street with such sunglasses and capturing images of everybody without their consent? Going by images, there isn’t any difference with respect to looks between original sunglasses and this camera.


Design Status:
This Camera concept is just a novel idea.

Usability:
Fitted with a digital camera, it is also supposed to be tweaked with various natural interaction techniques. Simply don them and start clicking. Though it seems to be hands free, you will need you hand to create a frame. Just position fingers as shown in the image and go about capturing images by shutting the left eye. Wonder how many accidental pictures will be captured as you wink your eye? Though it isn’t clear about the zooming feature, wouldn’t it be more amusing to zoom in or out by squinting or staring with eyes wide open.

It is a mere design which would surely be implemented when people take to tea brewing as a personal experience.

Usability
It is all about making tea brewing a personal experience, and the designer takes inspiration from the act of brewing in Japan. The usage of both plastic and wood on different levels of the kit is all about that theme. It heats up the water to the requisite temperature (indicated by a green light), through a heated pitcher at the base. It also houses two cups provoking the user to make it a shared act.

The future promises to be green as I lay my eyes on the ‘Twirl house’ set up. In contrast to the current urban skyline crammed with concrete sky-scrappers, this sprawling complex stands out for its out-of-the-box design. Architect Julien De Smedt has conceived a futuristic housing complex set up in the lush green landscape. Intending to retain the original flow of the nature, he has visualized the Twirl house set up for the Ao-di site, located on the northeastern coast of Taiwan for NEXT-GENE project. Signifying the need to bring the nature and humans closer, this development makes the best of the nature’s renderings.


Design Status:
Twirl House is yet a concept designed for the next- gene 20 project.

Usability:
The buildings seem to be carved out of the hilltops, akin to ancient cave settlements. Equipped with recreation facilities like swimming pool, this dream world consists of well-furnished inhabitable patio houses. Cleverly designed to hide from the view, the structures seem to be set into the ground. However the peaks of the mild slopes make an ideal location to view the fantastic spread.

Though not much is yet revealed about the interiors and materials involved in erecting the Twirl house, I can visualize myself sitting in one of these dens in the near future. For those who nurse an urge to get out of the concrete jungle, Twirl house makes and ideal location.

Design Status

It is a vehicle made for the day every fuel would have given up in the literal sense. The only option would be to bring electromagnetism to severe uses and thus keep mobility alive. It is in such a stage that the Cellogan would come to use and that is a very distant future. As of now, we see no hope for it!

Usability

No point stressing again when a car like Cellogan would be put to use, but yes, we can still talk about its diverse ability. Features like three 360 degree rotating caterpillar rubber track wheels, a giant visibility at the back and manageable touch-screen options can even be put to apparent uses.

Useful products decked with great design and extra functionalities always manage to win over hearts. But a compromise on the basic feature of the product in the light of “designer” quotient cannot be conceded upon. The Fedlar Walkie-Talkie is one such product. With tinkling LED’s on the boundary of this 2-way radio and an embedded compass, the designer has surely lifted up the style podium for walkie-talkies. But absence of GPS capabilities connotes flaws of the design and is not suitable for expedition in weak communication environments.

Usefulness:

Fedlar Walkie Talkie looks good but the scores low on functionality. The red-brown contour and the orbit of LEDs can make it as a good décor accessory if nothing else.

Such trendy products can be put to multifarious uses depending on the purpose you choose to buy it for. It has a sensor that detects proximity of a human being, and thereon it automatically displays the information in an illuminated format. This ability makes it a chic product that can be bought to add to the ambiance of your interiors. It may also make you a surprising predictor with your acquaintances dazed about your weather forecasting accuracy until, they discover your secret ofcourse.

Music surely has the powers of affording peace, given the condition it’s tasteful and not analogous to noise. Having said that, it shouldn’t be a herculean task to guess the features of Xylophone Window Blinds.
